Shipping Restrictions by State
Below are the shipping restrictions that apply to magazines, firearms, dummy guns, and ammunition. If you have any questions beyond what is listed here such as specific restrictions for dummy guns and NFA items, please call 440.285.3481 and speak with our compliance department for further information.
CALIFORNIA
--Cannot ship magazines over 10 rounds, unless you can supply these 3 documents:
-Copy of customer’s high cap mag permit
-Copy of FFL Dealer’s License For Shipment
-Copy of FFL Dealer’s California Central Registry Letter
--Cannot ship the following firearms:
MK99 receivers
AK74 receivers
VZ2000 receivers
VZ2000 rifle
M240SLR
Any other assault rifle*
--Cannot ship dummy guns (imitation firearms)
No handgun ammunition unless shipped to FFL holders
COLORADO
Denver: Cannot ship magazines over 20 rounds
CONNECTICUT
--Cannot ship magazines over 10 rounds
--Cannot ship the following firearms:
VZ2000
M240SLR
AR-15/ AK47/ AK74 receivers, unless proof of law enforcement or federal firearms license
--Any semiautomatic pistol capable of accepting a flash supressor, forward pistol grip/silencer
Any other assault rifle**
--Cannot ship dummy guns (imitation firearms)
HAWAII
--Cannot ship pistol magazines over 10 rds.
ILLINOIS
Aurora: cannot ship magazines over 15 rounds
Chicago: cannot ship magazines over 12 rounds
Franklin Park: cannot ship magazines over 16 rounds
Oak Park: cannot ship magazines over 10 rounds
Riverdale: cannot ship magazines over 35 rounds
Cannot ship ammunition unless proof of FOID/ID card
KANSAS
--Cannot ship dummy guns (imitation firearms)
MARYLAND
--Cannot ship magazines over 20 rounds
MASSACHUSETTS
--Cannot ship magazines over 10 rounds, unless you can supply these documents
-Customer’s Class A permit
-Copy of FFL Dealer’s license for shipment
--Cannot ship the following firearms:

**Definition of an assault rifle according to the now expired Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994:
“A semi-automatic rifle that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least 2 of the following:
1. a folding or telescoping stock;
2. a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
3. a bayonet mount;
4. a flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor; and
5. a grenade launcher”
(New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut still use this federal definition. New Jersey also has a
list of banned assault weapons)
